BASIC SSP (BSSP)

The BSSP delivers superior video and image quality at an economical price for simple digital sign applications. The BSSP is a solid-state media player that delivers top quality video and is designed for the playback of MPEG-1, MPEG-4 and high resolution JPEGs on LCD monitors in commercial environments. It easily and reliably plays back looping video or still image slide shows. Unlike other flash players, the BSSP employs the highest quality video decoder and a professional-quality scaler.

Features

  • Looping player with internal upscaling technology takes 480p content and outputs 720p component video and stereo audio.
  • Playback media formats include NTSC & PAL video, MPEG-1, MPEG-4, MP3 audio, and JPEG images
  • Simple to operate — insert a removable Compact/USB Flash or SD card with video or image files on it to display looping playback of video or image content.
  • Delivers high reliability with its solid-state design
  • Includes playlist support for simple looping playback of video and image content
  • Delivers a premier solution at an economical price

STANDARD SSP (SSSP)

The SSSP is great for self contained interactive displays with support for DVD+ quality video, button connections, USB devices, audio, and more. The SSSP is a low-cost solution built from the ground up for creating interactive digital signs and kiosks. The SSSP has no moving parts and no complicated operating systems, and its rugged steel enclosure easily mounts to walls, shelves, cabinets, or racks. A variety of connections provide flexible options for using high-def flat panel displays, standard VGA LCD monitors and just about any audio out. Pre-built templates and custom scripts can be used to add compelling interactivity with buttons, keyboards or touch screens. With the SSSP, it's easy to create high impact digital signs using high-def slides or looping video created with familiar editing tools.

Features

  • Automatically plays DVD-quality video and audio from a Compact Flash card
  • Automatically plays slide shows in high definition from a Compact Flash card
  • Scripting for powerful interactive displays and kiosks
  • Decodes standard MPEG2 files up to D1 resolution in real time, and scales video to a standard-def or high-def output resolution
  • Supports multiple audio channels and switching between them
  • Drives standard VGA, Component, S-Video or Composite displays
  • Two USB host ports for connecting touch screens, keyboards, or speakers
  • Control port for driving LEDs or accepting button or custom inputs
  • Create content using industry standard video and photo editing tools
  • Easy in-field software upgrades via flash cards
  • No moving parts

ADVANCED SSP (ASSP)

The ASSP is a solid-state media player that supports high-definition video (i.e., delivers native high-definition decode), photos, music and interactivity in both stand-alone and networked environments. It brings superior quality high-definition video to mainstream displays with its advanced video engine and professional hardware scaler. It is also easy to use and offers high reliability with no moving parts, making it the ideal solution. It also supports timers, wait events, audio controls and video modes including scaling.

Features

  • Offers high-definition MPEG video up to 1080i with a maximum bit rate of 25Mbps for high-impact presentations
  • Drives high-definition displays via HDMI, VGA and component video outputs
  • Provides ease of use with automatic playback from removable flash memory
  • Delivers high reliability with its solid-state design
  • Includes playlist support for simple looping playback of video, image and audio content
  • Brings flexibility to displays with support for button control, mouse and touch screen interactivity
  • State-based tables provide a simple way to customize interactivity
  • Supports industry standard video, image and audio content including MPEG-2, bitmap and MP3 formats
  • Provides flexible installation by easily mounting to walls, shelves, cabinets or racks

Remote Content Management

In networked mode, the ASSP supports remote updates as well as two way communication using an Internet connection. By connecting the ASSP to a network, targeted content can be delivered quickly and cost effectively. PRM servers also support the creation of multiple network groups to deliver updates or upload usage data to/from specific sets of ASSP units.

With a networked ASSP, content stays fresh and digital sign performance is maximized - all from a remote location.

Network Benefits

  • Remotely updates media content in the field using the Internet and standard web technologies
  • Supports network groups for custom updates to be delivered to specific sets of remote ASSP units
  • Ensures content is secure by supporting strong encryption and authentication
  • Sends data, heartbeats or pings from the ASSP units in the field to a central web server
